Castle Season 6 is close to starting, with filming set to begin this week. Already, we are beginning to receive little clues to the new season. Terri started off teasing fans with the reveal of several new writers. Among these new writers are Chad and Dara Creasey.

Thanks for the shout out, @TerriEdda! Thrilled to be a part of the @Castle_ABC team with @DaraCreasey!

Thanks for the shout out, @TerriEdda! So excited to be part of @Castle_ABC!

Chad and Dara joined Castle by writing an original pilot as a sample of their work. Their work was obviously well liked, as they got the job along with Marc Dube, who at this time does not have a Twitter account. They are extremely excited to start the season, “we found out we got the job in May while we were in a parking garage. Needless to say, our screams echoed!”
So far we have learned a few fun facts about the new writers. Dara was already a fan of Castle and has been watching since the first season. She doesn’t have a favorite episode but she really likes “The Lives of Others” and “The Blue Butterfly.” Chad is addicted to Diet Coke.
Chad and Dara always write together, “It’s always better when we work together!” and read their scripts out loud to each other before submitting them. Before Castle they wrote for Mistresses. When they first met in film school, they instantly had chemistry, “he convinced me we’d be a great team.” They were writing partners before they started dating. “it was very romantic. We were 22 and fell for each other’s words, then each other.” They have been married for 7 years now but writing partners for 12.
Chad and Dara are already fitting in with their own teases and behind the scenes photos. Dara teased what upcoming scripts will include, “words in the Season 6 scripts will include: “the” “and” “but” “a” and “of” ….. Tee hee!” So far they haven’t revealed what episodes they are writing but they have said they are not writing the season premiere episode.
Although they haven’t revealed any spoilers, they have taken us inside the writer’s room. There are 11 writers in the room. Dara told a fan, “I can tell you it is an incredibly talented, kind and funny group of writers who will deliver a great season. We’re hard at work!”
One way in which #Castle the writers room is exactly like #Castle the show is in the amount of coffee consumed.

#Castle writers room currently debating best coffee, best ways to consume caffeine, and competing over who's most addicted. #lovemyjob
— Dara Creasey (@DaraCreasey) June 18, 2013
@ClaraStanatic11 @TerriEdda says AWM drinks more coffee than she. As for me and @chadgcreasey, I drink more coffee, but he's a DC addict.

How we kill time in the writers' room? Pondering questions like "Would #Castle fare better in a zombie apocalypse or vampire uprising?"

They also brought us along as they met the cast and crew and on a set tour (shown below in pictures).
Just met @btwprod Penny Johnson Jerald for the first time. Absolutely delightful, smart, funny, beautiful. I got a hug from Gates! #Castle

Here are a few of their other updates.

@77rocket it's a pretty awesome group!
— Dara Creasey (@DaraCreasey) June 8, 2013
@Deb838 you can throw, but we can't promise to catch! Remember we're just a couple writers in room of many. And we're not running the show.

@myrtlegroggins @ockim84 will it be a statue of a bathtub?
— Dara Creasey (@DaraCreasey) June 13, 2013
“@BklynSquint: @DaraCreasey I imagined you all wear bulletproof vests while writing. #disappointed” ha! No but that'd be awesome.
— Dara Creasey (@DaraCreasey) June 14, 2013
Great week in the #Castle writers room and now home watching Rise for fun. Again. #lovemyjob
— Dara Creasey (@DaraCreasey) June 15, 2013
@Deb838 uhm YAH! Excuse to watch more #Castle under the guise of "work?" #yesplease
— Dara Creasey (@DaraCreasey) June 22, 2013
Most useful thing about the "self" photo on my phone? Picking teeth clean of #chipotle before heading back into the #Castle writers' room.
— Chad Gomez Creasey (@chadgcreasey) June 24, 2013
@chadgcreasey "Pass the hot hand protector thing." Me, puzzled "The… potholder?" Him "Right. That." Me "Have more Diet Coke, sweetie."
— Dara Creasey (@DaraCreasey) June 29, 2013
I feel like the boss ( @AndrewWMarlowe ) getting active on Twitter (twactive?) means this is really happening! #lovemyjob
— Dara Creasey (@DaraCreasey) June 30, 2013
After receiving their first nameplates on their parking spaces, a fan asked if they were next to each other. Chad replied “@DaraCreasey is two spots over, which is fine. We need a little space between us .”
When asked what she loved about the show, Dara told a fan “love the combo of it being a procedural show but that it also has the serialized component of the Caskett relationship.”
